Reigniting your spark for success
Hi ,November 5th is always a highlight for me and I don’t know about you, but I’m excited for the autumn spectacular that is bonfire night. I love the atmosphere, the crispy jacket potatoes and sweet toffee apples, but the most exciting part of the night for me is without doubt the magical fireworks display.
Because it takes me back to my childhood.
As a child, bonfire was always a time that we went out together as a family. We wrapped up warm and would huddle together in front of the blazing bonfire, watching the guy burn. We enjoyed the food and made the figure 8 with our sparklers as the fireworks illuminated the night sky. I can still remember the smell of smoke on my coat the next day.
Whilst it may not be a big event for some, it is to me, because it has a deeper meaning…family!
What’s your WHY for success?
Perhaps you’re coasting along in your career or business and not achieving the levels of success that you had expected to by now. Maybe you’ve lost your mojo and want to reignite that spark. You know, the one that fuels your passion. If so, then start by asking yourself “WHY is what I’m doing important to me”.
Whether you work for a company or work for yourself, WHY did you choose to do what you do. Was it the opportunity for advancement, the desire to make an impact or the freedom and flexibility of working for yourself?
Life has it’s twists and turns and there will always be difficult times when work becomes challenging. Events or meetings may not go to plan or as expected. It’s easy to lose interest, feel defeated or consider giving up, but when you connect to your WHY, everything becomes clearer and more meaningful…
It fuels your inspiration and motivates you to take action so that you can fulfil your dreams and ambitions.
I set up my business because I have a deep desire to make an impact in the world by empowering women to achieve the levels of success and happiness that they desire and deserve.
Throughout my journey there have been many times when I have lost my spark or felt like giving up. From the frustration of trying to gain crystal clarity on my message, pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and networking, to finding the resilience to get back out there after the feeling of rejection over each ‘No’ I received to my services, particularly when I knew how much I could help. There were and still are plenty of tough days, but each time my passion starts to dwindle or I feel like giving up I reconnect with my WHY. It’s so much bigger than any of the fears and obstacles that I have had to overcome to get me to this point in my business and personal growth.
So, your mission for this week is to connect to the WHY in your career or business. Take some time out alone, to really sit and think about what you do and WHY. Once you are connected to your bigger purpose, your passion will be reignited. And if it’s not, know that you’re the master or your own success. If you don’t like the vision that you’ve created, perhaps it’s time to create a new one. Just remember…WHY!
“When your WHY is bigger than your fears, dreams become reality!”
